Shawn Bullard

Shawn Bullard has a reputation for having a well-grounded insider's perspective on Washington's public policy process. He has spent more than two decades counseling CEO’s, trade association executives and college presidents on how to effectively gain an advantage in the often overwhelming federal policy arena.

Before launching Duetto Group, Bullard gained Washington experience as the vice president of government relations for one of the world’s largest PR firms; as a legislative policy director for metropolitan county executives; and as a legislative advisor, spokesperson and press secretary for a senior member of the U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee.

Bullard has served as an advisor to scholars of sustainability studies at the Woodrow Wilson International Center, as a representative on the Y2K White House Task Force, and as a trusted resource to delegates on the federal Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce. He has also consulted for some of the most trusted brands in America.

He regularly lectures on public policy at colleges and universities, and has been interviewed by numerious national media organizations including CNN, USA Today and The Washington Post. He sits on multiple boards, and holds a Masters degree from George Mason University's Department of Public and International Affairs, with an emphasis in NGO, association and nonprofit management.
